Most Tilefish are considered very delicate with rating of 2 out of 5, with 5 being very hardy and 2 being that most will die from starvation. The trick is getting one to eat. They will likely need to have live foods to start. They like don't like a crowded tank and need at least a 100g tank. They acclimate better in groups of 2 or 3, but they need to be added at the same time or they will most likely nip at each other. They are known to be jumpers, even more so than wrasses, jawfish, and dart fish. With that being said you will need a covering of some sort. The Golden & the Fourmanoir's Tilefish are the hardiest, but they are also the most aggressive toward each other and other zooplankton feeders. The Fourmanoirs have been observed to bite and kill Elegance Corals.
