    Chris are you sure it's a 3 stage and not a 4stage??? Most 3 stage don't come with a DI unit. Are you missing a filter or carbon stage???

    I have/had a Coralife 3 stage - the DI is a cartridge that costs about 1/2 the cost of the unit - I replaced it with an add-on unit, and added a 3rd filter.

    As said above, if you indeed have an RODI system, 40 ppm after the DI is pretty bad.

    If you have only an RO, with a likely configuration that looks like this: Stage 1= sediment filter, Stage 2= carbon filter, Stage 3= RO membrane, then you are seeing about 94% rejection from your membrane - not great, but not horrible.

    Can you provide a pic of your system, or a model number/name?
