Anyone familiar with chemi pure elite?

That looks like a plan.. Do you like the normal chemi pure as a carbon unit? The elite is like 19 bucks for a full unit@RCaquatics. Not bad pricing considering I typically only had to replace my chemi pure(standard) in the past every 3 months or so...

I've got one of those rena filstars laying around.. I know they suck balls, but could I run the chemipure elite in this unit and then hook up the outflow to my chiller? And a phosphate reactor in the future..?

P.S. the filstar would ONLY be used to hold the chemi pure and act as a powerhead for the chiller as I have a separate protein skimmer and all that already.
