I am about to purchase lights for my 150...5X2X2.
I have it narrowed down to two all T5 rigs.
This one... http://www.specialty-lights.com/960093.html Which is a Workhorse set-up claiming that the ballast is properly matched to the bulbs to prolong bulb life. Because I already own a Workhorse ballast...and most of the shipping is free, I can get a 6X80 watt set-up for about $500.
Then this one... http://www.reefgeek.com/lighting/T5_...bs_by_ReefGeek which is a IceCap set-up that claims to "overdrive" the bulbs to 100 watts. This will run me $661 shipped for a 6X100 watt set-up.
Which one would you choose? Is Icecap worth the extra $$? How much will bulb life be reduced by "overdriving" them?
Thanks for any input, Jamie
