I ran chemiclean, Ive got Red mushrooms, green cap, green slimer, pink mushrooms, faux coral, Sea world Acro, Sun coral, Maroon Clownfish, Yellow Tang, (had a lionfish at the time) and they all seemed to do Great after the Chemi-clean..... Just make sure you do a water change.

First start by scraping every bit of it off you can, and sucking it OUT of the tank, Add chemiclean, wait the alloted time, do a water change, then add Scarlet Hermits or Blue legged hermits if you want. They are supposed to control it as well. I have a 18w UV light, I would install that too if i was you, it kills the bacteria as it goes through it, which that is what Cyano is, Bacterial-Algae. I have yet to see ANY cyano back after 4 months!

That is just MY success story, I see how people dont succeed, they dont do a water change afterward so it comes back or leaves the chemical too long so things Die...... A water change is a MUST like it says!!!!

Just make sure you turn off your skimmer, and take out any carbons, phosbans, ozonizers, anything like that while you use the chemiclean. Make sure to use an AIR Stone when you have your skimmer off too! Your skimmer is a source of aeration.
