Mine will not be so drastic - just a little tank (58 gallons) compared to yours. The 1/15 chiller was not cutting it with 500 watts of halides beaming into it so there is a 1/10 on the way. Hope it will be enough. Didn't want to wait until the hot days hit again to find out the chiller is underpowered.

Cool idea putting it under the deck.

Yeah Bill, outside is the way to go, BTW you may want to consider wraping the pipes with insulating foam, it will help keeping the heat out.

    looks great bud.

I thought of that, and I'll probably wrap all of the parts that are under the deck. Mama hates the pipes as it is... If I put foam on them she might kill me.

maybe you could surround them with something decorative like a false column and fill it with insulation?

put the foam and paint it to match the color of the out side, have her pick the color, while you are at it, ask her if she wants the color on the back change and the deck reseal, this may do the trick.

If not I'll bring flowers to your funeral

Or you can sleep on my couch until she lets you back in the house

why you think my wife designed both of my tank stands

Hey, I way up on this one - our bedroom has NO humidity now.

Thanks for the advice - we'll see. I may box it in.

She has MANY projects for me at the house. I just replaced all of the window glass in those windows. We need plants in the front yard. The garage is a HUGE mess. But, we keep going to the coast every weekend! To do BOAT projects.
