Hey Ace, no doubt you've done a lot for this club and website, i just don't see why you are making a personal decision a public poll. i say if YOU trully feel you stepped out of line so far that you should resign, then do so. It is your personal choice and of course your obligation if you feel the need to. But if you feel that this thing may have been heated and bad things were said by everyone, then it was one little fight, no big deal. Just forget about completely and lets go own as a club, and you should keep your position and continue to do the amazing job that you have been doing. Hey its not like this is the first time Maast has had a tiny fight started, i can recall a much bigger one with one certain member who used to own a fish store, on (several) occasions... but its all in the past now.. GO ACE..

i voted NO, because if this affected Ace so greatly that he thought about it and thought it was the best decision, then let him do it. it is ALWAYS his decision first. and it doesn't matter if thats his first post, you should be able to vote either way without persecution.

BA - i made it a public decision because i am here to represent the entire club and i wanted all the cards on the table. before i could continue as a board member, i had to have the air cleared on the conflict of interest issue. i do not think i have done anything wrong, but it is not only my point of view that matters. that is why i did this in the open forum so everyone - web members, charter members and board members could have a voice.
i agree. this issue needs to go away and we need to move forward as an organization. the board is already working on solutions to prevent another situation like this weekend. the board can not do it alone. they must have the support of the members of the organization. period. no more can members sit idly by and leave the board out to fend for the club. all members need to participate in discussions, not just those who disagree with policy.
