    oh yeah...and how do i know if freeloading neighbors are using it? will this slow it down and make it turn on and off?

    Business class DSL, or Grande cable. Personally I will never use DSL again. Cable is plug and play for the most part and DSL requires logins and other garbage to connect to the internet.

    they cant use your modem, if you have a wireless router that would be a different story.

    that shouldnt be it, i am using a router with no issues, and the router isnt one from timewarner.

    how do i encrypt it or put a password i guess on the router? or does this not matter?

    just disable the wireless radio if you arent using it
