Skimmer Help
I have a Eshopps Skimmer from Aquarium Designs, and it has a rio 600+ rated at 200gph. This thing isn't producing the bubbles/foam/skimmate I was hoping for. It consistantly has produces wet skimmate when I raise the waterlevel to right below the foam chamber, but I think it should be working with the water level a little lower. I know it isn't the best thing out there, but I know it can do better. What might be an easy way to increase the amount of bubbles, or is there another pump out there that would be worth replacing the rio with?
This thing is in 3 gallon chamber of a 10 gallon sump with water coming directly from the tank into it.

give it a couple of days to break in and then play with it again..OR CHECK THE LENGHT OF THE INTAKE HOSE FROM THE RIO, the lenght of the hose can make a different. That is how it works on my superskimmer..

I have had this thing about 2 months, and the issues I have described have been pretty persistant. The intake hose for the rio is a fixed piece.

Make sure there is no blockage in the air hose. If possible, take the rio apart and double check if at all possible.
