Yes, I've also heard about this, but I still wouldn't trust them. I hate to be the guy who says this, but would you really want to be that ONE person who gets the special electrical fire edition? I'll trust my own, a professional, or a reputable company who offers a warranty's work over a 5-cent a day child laborer in Beijing. The engineering may be sound(it is a Coralife knockoff...), but the product is only as good as its assembler lets it be.

Like I've said, I run their latest-generation of Power Compact fixtures(which are still just a little below average, build quality-wise...), and they work good enough to last me until I get my MH's and T5s, but if you're going to be dropping the cash for Halides, spend a little extra for a brand that can actually be taken to court for burning your property down(not to mention better quality lighting for your Corals and such, the real issue at hand.)

Maybe if/when Odyssea provides contact information and a warranty, I would consider purchasing their higher-end fixtures...until then, I'll stick with Coralife, Current, JBJ, etc...

That's just my opinion though.
