    Default Ps3

I just received my PS3 this week and I must I absolutely love it. The Movies are incredible and it even makes my regular dvds seem High Def. The only problems I have with it is the BD output, when set at 24Hz will not show a picture on my Samsung LCD. I have to disable the option inorder to view it. Not sure what that does to the quality but it still looks fanatastic. Another thing that irked me was that I could not progam my Harmony remote to control the PS3, because it is Bluetooth enable, not IR. Otherwise I love it!!! On a side note has anyone heard the rumor that Sony is going to discontinue the 80g model??? If they do there will be no backward compatible player for PS2.

I've had mine since Oct. Love it. I already have a good size Blue Ray collection going. You got to get Call of Duty 4. Its in 1080p and looks awesome! Well worth it......especially for the online play.

I went with the PS3 over a stand alone mainly because the prices were similar. Plus why not be able to play games on as well. My son has a huge collection of PS2 games so at least he can still play them also.

My 60g PS3 can play the old PS2 games.... All of them should.

I thought the same thing, but I looked on the box of the 40g and it said not copatible with PS2 and only some compatibility with PS1. That is why I went with the 80G. Otherwise I would have got it like a month ago, because they are everywhere. Its odd that the 60 and 80 are backwards comp. but not the 40.

    Thats interesting.

But when you start playing the games in HD, it will be hard to play the older games...
