Water weighs 8.6lbs per. gallon so make sure your foundation can handle it too. Some insurance company may not covers if somehting would happen to the foundation..

My side gate is wide enough for a 36" tank. It will not be upgrading for a few years but when I do by then I will have my double open french doors, So i will be good to go.

Depending upon how the tank is braced, it may hold up on it's side for a few minutes of maneuvering. I'd be a bit worried about that much weight being unsupported if you were to flip it on it's side to get it through the door.

Well, I guess the little guy wasnt ok. He died this morning after only 3 days. I found him barely breathing being blown around by the flow in the tank. This bites. He has no signs of illness; just wasnt eating well and hiding a lot. I know what to look for when purchasing so I guess I can blame myself. I know to look for a fish that is eating, active and not showing signs of ick or other illnesses. This guy was hiding in a cave but looked healthy and I was told he was eating so I went for it. You know ive shopped at Aquarium Designs a few times but have never bothered to ask about a guarantee or return policy when talking to Jason. Man I love that store, always a great visit; anyways anyone know what their guarantee is if any? I wrote them a email but I know they are closed today so I dont expect a response back today.

He will probably knock some dollars off your next purchase. Take him a sample of your water so he knows that you know what you are doing. Jason is a great guy, I am sure he will be more than willing to help. Sucks though. :(

I called. As I figured, no guarantee. Impluse buys will bite you in the butt almost 99% of the time.
