If you want the cheapest, ask your local fish store for some of the Odyssea bulbs that come in plain white packaging. You can pick up a 65W for like 12 bucks if you know what to look for. They aren't that bad of bulbs(I use them because I'm on a budget. I'm gonna get some nicer ones later on...) but they ARE Chinese. Buyer beware.

Since youre in Austin, Id head to Rivercity or Aquatek and pick some up. That way you know what youre getting, and you will also have the piece of mind knowing that they wont break in shipping.

I agree 100%. Cheap bulbs are good if you're in a bind, but for long-term, I'd go with something better quality, like Coralife, or one of the higher-end brands. When it comes to bulbs, which you really only have to buy maybe twice a year, it's probably a good idea to splurge, especially if you've got some expensive corals and such growing. You'd never catch me dead growing acropora or clams under no-name, no-warranty, trial-and-error Odyssea halides and PCs.

The Coralife bulbs look good, and have the name behind them, but Blue Life is making a line of bulbs (PC, MH) that are reasonably priced and look decent. I have a friend that has some of their DE 150w 14k's on his 120, and he's been pretty happy with them.
