I need to buy some acrylic for a DYI protein skimmer and I was wondering if anyone knew a good place in San Antonio to buy the materials from?
Need: (12''x24'') x4 and (12''x12'') x2
Or a box in those approx. dimensions.
Thanks!

Just for giggles, I called regal yesterday (briefly tossed the idea around of making myself a tank...something I have been wanting to do for fun, but always punk out at the last minute). And I got the following prices on 4' x 8' sheets of acrylic (but couldn't tell you if this stuff is cell cast or not, didn't ask, and I didn't know any better to ask at the time):
1/4" thickness - $111
3/8" thickness - $202
1/2" thickness - $282
She said cutting to size should be another 10 - 15 bucks.
This is all Ace's fault....I helped move that tank and the crazy and so very **limited** DIY in me decided I would think about making a tank......and well that thought has gone away now....it didn't take long. I have a 220 sitting in the garage, and as it is, I don't have the space for it...I was thinking more along the lines of a 30" x 30" x 24"
I have been contemplating a cube, but I want it to be the base for an island in my kitchen. That is, once we get a house.![]()
That sounds cool....but that is my problem....not my house, we are just renting since we just moved here...so I really don't want to throw up a big 220...but that cube is only 96 gallons. And then I don't even know if 3/8" is thick enough for a cube that size....LOL
