    Default Sump/Refugium for a 55 gal

I've got to remeber to thank the folks at B&B Aquatics for referring me to this community!

Anyway, I've got a 55 gal tank setup and running and now I want to add a sump/refugium. I've looked at the HOB refugiums, but don't want to spend that much money on something so small. The problem I've encountered is a lack of space in my stand.

The interior dimensions of my stand are about 45" x 9.5" x 21". The back wall has two open areas measuring about 18" wide. Short of removing the support (I don't particularly like this idea) between the two open areas, is there an effective way to put some sort of container in there?

I've looked at rubbermaids, small tanks (a 5 gallon would fit, but is hardly worth the effort) and the like, but haven't been able to find anything that fits, would hold my CSS 65 and a fuge and enough water to make it worthwhile. Any ideas/suggestions? I would be willing to consider only a fuge or only a sump, but would prefer to have the two combined. Is there something really obvious that I'm overlooking? TIA!

I just broke down and ordered the 24" aquafuge.
