I just did a search on eBay on the name (since the link above has been deleted) and came up zero.

    Demm,
Would you mind PM'ng me the link if you still have it?

    Default Catalina Aquarium lights

    Hey Guys,
I just got one of these and it is so bad that I joined your forum to tell you about it. First of all there's no splash-guard and don't try to add one because it will get too hot. There's just not enough room in the hood. I ordered mine with two fans and they jammed a transformer(12v DC) inside the hood that was too big. I switched that out for one at the end of the plug but the hood still is over-stuffed. The fans blow air behind the reflectors so they cool the ballasts and not the bulbs. I've had it on for three days and already a bulb has burnt out. If your looking for 6 T5's over your 55 gallon(4ft) tank, I'd try Finnex......xltom

well it's already way to late. i had brought mine about 3 weeks ago. i have pleny of room in my hood. i dont have a splash guard no, i agree that sucks.

as far as heat, i dont have an issue at all with it. my light has been working perfectly with no problems at all.

only thing i wish is that i was able to flip up the light fiture like you can with the oddysea lights. everytime i wanna get in the tank i have to lift the light....i'm to scared to hang it lol.

but even my corals love the light. my xenia has split 3 times since i've had that thing on. i had them for about a month before that and nothing, they never split at all. same thing with the other corals. i am seeing alot better browth, color, and all around happiness.

    Demm,
I have fold up legs for this fixture. I wrote a longer reply but this forum keeps telling me " you are not logged in or do not have permission....". Very frustrating as I don't type fast. I don't even Know how my last reply ended up on the thread. Let me know if you can use the legs. I have added glass tops to my tank so I can't use them. They are coralife mounting brackets that I modded with aluminum. Later(hopefully this works)....xltom

Wow I'm surprised to see such a bad review. Another member here bought several of the halide combos and both of us really seemed to like them for what the asking price was.

I thought we were only removing outside auction links in "for sale". How on Earth will people with legitimate questions get the help they may desperately need if we remove all the links?

yes i could use the legs! how much would you want for them and where about are you located? any pics?

and mike i have no idea. i was pretty mad when the link got deleted. because it wasnt only an ebay link it was the link to the catalina website as well, i was trying to show people what the light looked like so i could get some help. thats ok though, i went to my other forums i go to and i started a thread there and my links remained on the post which helped alot.

I'm guessing the link got deleted 'cause it went to ebay.
