    Default Blue Hippo Changing colors

As the title says my blue hippo seems to be changing colors. Is this normal? I got this fish from another member and it is 6" long at least. It is very healthy and eats a lot. On one side of its body i noticed where the black line is in the middle it had a small yellow coloring coming in. Now today the color has spread and its about a inch across. No signs of ich or any disease just color morphing. Has anyone else had this happen? It was moved from Jeffs 100g to my 210g so it has a lot more room. Could this be the reason, a dominance thing? Tonight I added a 5" Sailfin tang. I forgot to turn on the lights before I went to the meeting so the light schedule they are used to was a little out of wack. Any ideas?

As long as it looks healthy otherwise and is eating, I wouldn't worry about it. I've seen some blue tangs with more yellow to them than others. Even with mine, it had some yellow along it's bottom/belly area when I got it, but it has lost it over time. Kind of seems it comes and goes at times. Not sure if it is because of their moods, the food they are eating, or just natural change.

Thats what it did Jeff! Its a circle about the size of a quarter and its yellow grey as you mentioned. Im pretty sure its p'd off about the Big sailfin tang. This morning when I went down stairs it was still hiding, but usually its out swimming around with the foxface. It came out a few minutes later with that funny spot and its top fin at full mast, lol. Im pretty sure hes not happy with the new tang; although the new tang is loving the tank, lol.

Its a combo of adding the new tang and I finally put a canopy over the top last night; thanks to ACE. My fish got used to the natural light coming through the top and now its dark so they seem to get starlted easily.
