75 reef tank for sale
I have a 75gal reef tank with corals/fish/VHOlighting,custom canopy, live rock, everything. Due to a pending retirement and travel, I want to get rid of my set up for a reasonable offer. Local pet stores will only give a fraction of the livestock worth and of course I am stuck with everything else. What is the best way to liquidate my stock? Is there a market to sell the whole thing or is it best to sell off piece by piece? Any suggestions?

Moved to appropriate forum.
Best idea is to look around to see what others are selling similar equipment for. General rule of thumb is you will get close to half of what the new cost is. There are exceptions, depending on certain brands. Reference ebay too for ball park prices. Parting out a system may be easier, since it is harder to sell complete systems. Hope that helps.

Piece by piece is easiest and fastest. Sell the livestock first then the hardware. Post pics too because everyone will ask for sure!
When dealing with Saltwater hobbyists most of them already have tanks and are looking to increase livestock or upgrade/purchase hardware so it is extremely hard to fulfill a complete system sell.
Good luck.
