Thread: Scuba diving...

    Thumbs up Scuba diving...

Well my wife bought me a bunch of gear and pre-paid for my certification classes as an early Christmas present. I'm pumped but shocked at the same time. I guess I'll begin the process after hunting season is over as I want to be able to dedicate enough attention to it so that I don't forget everything I learn. LOL

Sweet deal. Is this her way to keep you from upgrading to a larger tank?

I think it's Dive World somewhere off of I10, but don't quote me on that just yet because I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to the location. I was busy trying to look at all the price tags while she was ripping them off trying to hide them from me. I remember wondering how on earth some of this stuff was THAT expensive.

How's that Cliff, by giving me the unlimited sized tank to swim around in? Maybe so, but I'll be willing to bet this Scuba stuff is actually going to end up making me spend more on my tanks.

Im a Cert Divemaster and Asst instructor... my advise is to take your confined water dives here then go and transfer and do your open water in cozemel or somewhere similar it will be alot more rewarding than sitting in pitch black at the bottom of canyon lake

I did my open water stuff at medina, it was alright but certainly not like cozumel. They have a bunch of catfish that will swim around you waiting for food.

It's fun to dive in an Aquarium. This is a picture of me in the Flower Gardens Exhibit at the Texas State Aquarium. The Stingray on my shoulder is named Harley. What you don't see is that I was on my knees and a 5ft Moray Eel was passing thru between my legs.

You can use my pool if that would help. I've been thinking about learning scuba too.
