    Default Light Position

I currantly have 2 400w SE bulbs over my 110 show, They are mounted hoizontally over the water surface approx 3in off the water. My question is I am going to put Luminarc reflectors over the bulbs and would like to know if I would get more reflective light if the bulbs were mounted vertically in the reflector over the water surface? Space is not an issue but the light and relector would be 6-8in off the water. So 360 degrees of relective light and 8in off water surface or 180 degrees of reflective surface and bulb 3in off water surface.

I would keep them horizontally for more surface area. 800w of light is more than enough for bottom of a 36" deep tank. The width and depth are your concern and horizontal will ensure coverage.

The reflectors will really make your tank shine. I would think about cuttin down on my light period for a couple weeks so your corals can adjust. The reflectors make a huge difference.
