GUNS UP
i hate mine i would get something diffrent look int franchi shotguns they are the ford of benilli and cost the same as the remmington... they are inertia driven instead of gas (the 1100or 1187) i can shoot a round of skeet and the gun gums up and will refuse to eject shells. as far as the franchi goes (pronounced franky) you cant go wrong!

Used Benelli's run between $600 to $800. New Stoegers are a knock off and much cheaper. I have an old 1100 and hard to beat but when remington moved over seas I got a little bit miffed. Good luck on finding one cheap, with inflation they have pretty much kept there full value. There is a gun show somewhere in SA once a month.
If you are not too set on semi auto go to Academy $249 for the 870 Super Mag Express after $30 Mail in Rebate. Nagels Gun Shop has the Winchester Super X on sale for $673. Or look at the Beretta 3901 can be found for about $600 to $650. I am not too crazy about the 1187 myself, friends had too many problems with them. Personally I shoot a ComLanber 2435 Semi Auto, now that thing was really cheap ~$300. The gun show is saxet gun show just google them for dates and location.
If you just want a remington, get an 870. I have shot several 1100's, and had little trouble, but with cheap shells, they will definitely hang up. I use the $34.95-for-a-case walmart special shells for my 870 express magnum. It will hang up, but a little extra elbo grease ejects them with no problem. Doves be-ware, and I can even hang with guys shooting expensive semi-autos on the skeet ranges. Think of pumping the gun as part of your rhythm in getting in line for the next shot instead of a hindrance.
