Yeah, he's talking about "German Rams". Microgeophagus ramirezi. Used to be Apistogramma ramirezi. Golds are the same species as the Blues.

As for hard to keep - remember, this is freshwater. Certainly as easy to keep as a clownfish. With good water parameters, and some privacy, they will fairly easily spawn. Good parents, too.
