My wife, mother in law, and sister in law all shoot .243 when it comes to rifles, although sometimes my wife will use a .270. She will use the .270 when she goes for elk (my wife is a sniper!). For shotguns, they all use 12 gauge but my wife has really been checking out my new 20 gauge over/under. All the ladies in my family prefer semi autos when it comes to pistols, where I prefer a good .357 revolver.

Shouldn't there be a shorter word for "monosyllabic"?

there is a gun range somewhere in town where you can rent a gun for the range so you can find the one you want.

A good place to go range wise is the Bracken Shooting Range I went there several times when I was younger and it's a great spot. It's a little past Rolling Oaks Mall on Nacogdoches. When going down Naco I think it splits, and you would want to stay to the left.

That would be "A Place To Shoot" most likely. They have a full service gun shop and do maintenance there also. That reminds me, need to have the trigger let out on my son's new deer rifle.

Spring turkey hunting is a blast. That brings back lots of memories from when I was stationed in Oklahoma and we'd take vacation at that time of year just to go hunting.
