    Default cleaning tank

    Hi all,

I was just curious as to what you all use to clean the outside of your tank. Especially any saltwater that ends up on the glass after a water change. If I just wipe until the water and haze are gone, I can tell it is not quite as clear as it should be. So I usually use a spray bottle of RO/DI and clean any salt residue off.

Does anyone use anything that wouldn't normaly be thought of, for instance. Obviously I wouldn't want to risk getting any chemicals in the water. As I said just curious.

    Thanks,
    Billy

Windex. I dont spray it on the glass but on the paper towel in the other room then scrub. Also rubbing alcohol works.

Use newspaper as well. No streak shine!

I use this stuff called "Invisible Glass". It is meant for vehicle windows but with just a paper towel it leaves the glass completely clear.

To be or not to be? That is the Question. Or is it, To reef or not to reef?

ditto on the vinegar thing... seems to work well and give you that streak free shine I'm sorry I keep using this line, but "at the store" we use windex just spray it onto a paper towel and wipe, then use newspaper to get rid of the streaks
