Thread: Green Flower Pot Coral

    Default Green Flower Pot Coral

I just picked up a great Flower Pot Coral from Wolf Reef. I know they are a fairly difficult species to keep. The specific coral is Goniopora sp. I have read that direct feeding of brine and plankton increase the success of keeping this coral. It looks like the average life span in a reef aquarium is about a year.

I have it in medium to high intensity light and moderate water flow. Does anyone have any suggestions on keeping this coral for long periods of time?

    Thanks for your help.

very low nitrates, nothing to agitate it (IE clownfish) and very stable water conditions
My Reef is Alive and well Despite My repeated Daily attemps to kill it!!

Gonipora.org gives some pretty good info on keeping these corals.

Shouldn't there be a shorter word for "monosyllabic"?
