With tangs I always rubberband some seaweed to a rock and put the rock in the net on the sand bed or as close to it as possible. Usually they can't resist but be carefull when you make the sweep for him against the glass that you don't smash the rock into it.

I caught 2 clowfish, a cleaner shrimp, and a Bangai Cardinal within 15 mins.... Use 2 nets, put one next to him where it doesnt scare him, and use the second net to kinda force him towards the other, when you try to net him, net him towards the glass, i had 95% success rate using 2 nets at once! Maybe im just good at it lol....

I use Ace's method. Grab a cold beverage. Then, harrass the heck out of him - hands work fine, but watch that tail! Chase him/her down and work him out of every hiding place, trying to touch him. After a while, he'll just give up. Anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes. Then net him out.
