I've always wanted to do a corner tank w/ nothing but clowns and anemones. (I had a 75 gallon, but felt like it was too big for that.) A 36 gal. would probably be perfect.
I'm guessing that you'd want to keep the same type of clowns, though. Maybe some Clarki's or Percs. (It's kind of hard to get tank raised ocellaris clowns to go to an anemone. At least that has been my experience.) You could do different color variations of bubble tips, and probably get away with a long tentacle or carpet anemone.
Over 20 years ago, I knew a guy who had something like this. He had a bunch of clowns in there and even mixed the types. It was so cool. He also had some feather dusters in there.
Just a thought.
