    Default Algae?

I am a new user to marine aquariums. I recently bought a 55 gallon, used set up that included the water, live rock, live sand and equipment. It has been running for about 6-8 weeks. I bought my first 3 fish last Friday (clownfish, PJ cardinal, and a chromis). I have discovered some white algae or something. It kind of looks like the sac spiders lay eggs in. Does anyone know what this is or if/how it should be treated? This is a fish only tank. Thanks for any input!

Sponges maybe? Are they tanish/off-white, cone shaped with a little white tuft coming out of the top? If so those are filter feeders and ok to have. Posting pics would help GR8LY!
