    I always say, buy big and restrict. That way you can upsize your tank later and still have equipment to run it. Sucks buying something only to find out it's a little smaller than you wanted. You can always restrict something but you can't do it the other way round.

    I was thinking about the ASM G-3. And that is rated up to a 250. with is about 100 more than my tank. Or shoudl I get the 4 that would be 250g over my tank. Really dont have a fish load. Just mostly 6 or 7 fish. and sps. Which one would you think I should get.

    55g 500w MH total 70lbs live fuji rock 30lbs sand
    10g nano tank for a mantis shrimp..
    150g that is starting up
    2000g pond with 8 koi and 1 fat goldfish(and I do mean FAT) lol

    I'd probably stick with the G-3, price could be a factor to help with that kind of choice. If the G-4 is $50-75 more than the G-3, or better yet less than $100 more than the G-2, it might be a "steal". I've noticed with the ASM line that there isn't much of a price difference between 2-3 models and then it jumps up a bit for 2 or 3 more models.

    Well I found the G-3 for 260 on one site that has it for sale..

    This is where the sale is.. I never bought anything from them. So I dont know how they are but Im sure if some one got bad news from them.. They will say somethen.
