    Default Texas Tropical

I know that alot of people here apparently don't like Texas Tropical. I just thought that I would post this, not to start a war, but just to tell everyone on the condition of the store. It looks like they are doing some new stuff. Apparently someone there has inspired them to buck up. They are in the process of building a better reef tank to house their corals, and they are expanding their sw stuff. Just an FYI. I think they may have gotten jealous of Jason's store? Just a thought!

each fish stor has its place, some carry better fish, some carry beter corals, and some carry bettter inverts, the trick is cathcing them on the right day. i personally like texas tropical, sometimes, they stuff that other shops don't carry.

havn't been there in over 7 years because of the lack of knowledge, cyanide caught fish, poor attitudes and bad condition of the store,,,, maybe they have changed a bit since then, hopefully they have.. maybe one day i will visit them again

in all the time ive spent in san antonio, ive never seen texas tropical have bad attitudes or ever seen any poor conditions at their store. sure, algae builds up and needs to be scraped occasionaly, but its nowhere near as bad as youre making it out to be, tex reefer.

the only thing i dont like about the store is the manager HAS A REALLY LOUD VOICE and im not sure he knows it but when he talkls, the whole store hears it!

if you dont like texas tropicals, you could always shop at 10.99 a pound for uncured tonga branch live rock alamo aquatics ;)

other than that, its a great store, and still open! the planted FW tank in the front is awesome. ill have to go by there now and check out the new stuff theyre doing.
\'designer name\' corals with a designer name price? haha you\'re funny, no thanks!!!!

With me my turn off was that I belive they are overpriced and personally dont care for the condition of the place. But hey if im ever back over in the area I will swing by and see what they have done.
