Wave Makers and Auto top off

I have 2 6060 tunze which of course means I can't put them on a programmer do you guys now if I get a wavemaker would it be ok? or the power on and off not good for them?

I have several of the 6060's and like them. I ran them on my wave maker for about a month. I didn't really care for it since the streams would jerk on and sometimes come loose from the mag mounts, crashing to the sand bed or coral below. Rumor is that it will damage them and that Tunze can tell by the imprints left on the magnet of the impeller.
