Default diamond goby vs. lawnmower blenny

I've decided to get a algae eating pro to help control the algae explosion in my tank because its ugly and getting uglier everyday. So out of a lawnmower blenny and a diamond goby, which should i get? Although I'd like to have both, so if anyone has experience having both in their tank and no fights plz let me know. thanks.

Diamond gobies dont eat algea. They eat brine shrimp, mysis and other prepared foods. They are sand sifters, not hair algea eaters.

    As was stated above.

Would like to add that diamond gobies will wreak havoc onto your little reef. I tried one for a little while until my sand that used to be on the bottom of my tank was in my sump, on my corals, etc. It was fun to watch while he lasted.

Please, for the love of God, DO NOT get a Scooter Blenny (Ocellated Dragonet) unless your tank is REALLY well established. They do not eat algae, only copepods, amphipods and other small critters. If you are not well establsihed, he WILL starve to death.

I have a diamond spot goby and a lawnmower blenny, and yes, the diamond is a bit messy, but so cool. No fighting.

How big is your tank? Sand gobys do best in 55 or bigger. They also jump out of uncovered tanks. Its true that they may cover your corals with sand. Check out the smaller redcap and rainsfords gobys they both work on sand, just dont put them with large fish that will stress them.
Love the fish, and the chips ant bad.

my scooter blenny eats mysis and brine. have a diamond goby also- he just filters sand in his mouth and does also make a mess at times
