    Default CSS 125 problems

I just bought a CSS 125 used and although it looks fairly new and at the moment it isskimming like crazy, however I had to hook an air pump up to the air supply line to get it to produce bubbles. without the air pump it wasn't producing any bubbles. I'm thinking the pump may have been changed to a NON needlewheel pump, I will check later but was wondering if any of you CSS users had any other ideas why it wasn't producin bubbles?

    Thanks

Clean the needle wheel. It's probably dirty and not turning.

How far under the water was the pump? Usually that is the problem.

how high is your water level in your sump. i found that if the water level is to high, for some reason it doesnt create any air bubbles at all.

well it's working great with the air pump but maybe i need to play with it a little to see if I can get it bubbly without the air pump, ie moving the pump up closer or checkin the needlewheel. hmmm I'm not using it in the sump it is HOB of the QT with the pump inside the tank.

    Thanks!
