Default appearance of red slime algae

ok well just recently i started getting red slime algae in my tank from what i have read it is caused by a lack of flow and or excess nutrents in the water since i havent changed my feeding or supplement schedule im guessing that my flow finally caught up with my system? i have an iwaki 1200 gph pump on my closed loop for flow and ive been planning to upgrade to a dart im guesing the time has arrived. any feedback or suggestions ill put my system details and parameters up in a minute once i test everything
