RE: Re: RE: stopping theft, advice needed.
I don't blame the police per say, though I have had my run in w/ a few 'officers' that were not fit to call themselves such. (writing tickets to meet a qouta)
I blame the system they work for. I mean, I seriously doubt police officers grew up dreaming of writing tickets and doing other menial garbage that is a waste of time but puts money in the city coffers. they grew up dreaming of protecting people, and the sytem has forced them to become glorified tax collectors (and baby sitters, etc..)
I have no idea what the solution is, but it is a shame that they could give a rats behind about a stolen car (could have cared lessa bout mine) i don't know if it's because they are understaffed or what, but when my truck was stolen, nothing was done. they asked ME if i wanted to have it fingerprinted, then billed me for storing the truck while they dragged their feet to do the job. it's a screwed up system.
it's not the cops fault, I have nothing but respect for the good ones. thanks for doing your job.
you get right down to it, if mom and dad had raised mr. crackhead to be a better person, it wouldn't be an issue... it's all part of a failing society.
"Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean ? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind." ~ Jack Handey
