i went ahead and built a new one yesterday i took a 10' grounded extension cord and cut it about a ft from the end then took an electrical box and wired it thru there i wired the negitive end thru the float switch and the positive thru a light wall switch put a face plate on it and called it done that way i can turn it off and on during water changes
