Oops, just read you were looking for light upgrade.

Well everyone telling me with the eclipse, the hood would melt.. But like I was thinking I could just get some small fans and mount them in there.

mine isnt melting. I think its an abs plastic. Its pretty durable
i "think" i have a spare eclipse 12 hood in the garage that you are welcome to if you want it. pm me if interested and ill go dig it out for you.
i might even have my corralife 96w retro kit (new in box) which was purchased for it. once again drop me a line if interested and i will dig them out.
i found both the retro kit and the hood if you are interested (retro kit is brand new in the box)
you could install the retro kit into my hood and keep yours for a spare for "just in case" but im pretty sure the 96w wont harm the hood since it is a very popular mod over at nano-reef
you can have both for dirt cheap just to get them out of my garage (or some frags)
ask McReef, thats who I got my lid from. Mine is set on two screws, which probably goes to the old holes.
Just do this, get two screws, not too long. Pop some holes in the reflector to match up with the screw holes, and mount them. Gravity will hold the light in place along with the screw, but gravity will keep it off the plastic directly, allowing air to flow around all sides. Should work just fine.
