Default RE: question about feeding corals

I stopped feeding my tank anything almost 3 months ago when I first saw some hair algae sprout up on some frags I had bought. Before that I never added any "coral specific" foods. I basically fed a diet of nysis shrimp, frozen rotifers, cyclops, and Emerald entree which has a spirulina food in it. I figured the coral could get whatever they needed from the frozen pulp surrounding the main foods. It worked for me. 3 months with no food and my corals and fish continue to look healthy. I'm really surprised. I do add B Ionic to the water to keep my water chemistry correct.
