    Default baby bird

its not fish but my girlfriend and i found a small bird only a few days old and dont know how to care for it nor do we have the time. I cant let this little guy just die. We have been squirting water in its mouth with a syringe also crushing up worms and trying to feed them. I dont know how long this thing will stay alive. Does any body in austin or san marcos want it that knows how to take care of it or know where i can take it. Just letting it die is not an option for me. Not one that will let me sleep well at night anyway. Please someone let me know if they can help. Thank you. Cody. 5129454150

Also call any animal shelters in your area, they should be able to direct you to someone that could take it.

Most shelters won't as they just handle dogs and cats. But they should know of some animal rescue group that could take it. I believe that to deal with birds you need a federal license which is another reason why fewer people deal with them.

Wildlife Rescue is your best choice.

I also say wildlife rescue. I used to work for another rescue and when someone dropped off an injured redtail hawk, I had to take him to the wildlife rescue for proper bird care. Also, there is a lady in New Braunfels that does wildlife rescues, I have known her for a couple years and really trust her. Polly's in New Braunfels (8306097387) has her number, I don't have it in my phone anymore.

thanks guys. I went to the critter shop and bought some baby bird food. Some kind of powder you mix with water gives them the nutrients they need. I wish I had the time to take care of the little bugger but I don't. I talked to the wildlife rescue place today and they close at 4. I am going to try to find some way to get it there in the next few days. Thanks for the help.
