It seems that Al Gore will be a key speaker on green Design. Maybe we can get him for next months MAAST meeting to talk to us about large Reef Aquariums? On the serious side this is suppose to be a neat place to see all kinds of new things for your home and business. The Expo is a great opportunity for everyone in the construction industry to see the latest in product innovations. There are more than 800 exhibitors displaying products from Spanish Tile to Lighting Fixtures.

It's funny that they are putting Al Gore in the "Entertainment" section.
I know blades of grass that are more entertaining.

In an effort NOT to discuss politics too much... From the newspaper article on this event, it appears to be a Green-themed event.

Also, for those that like to look at both sides of the discussion, tonight on CNN Headline news at 6, 8 and 11 is "The other side of the global warming debate".

P.S. Looks like Al is arriving on his private jet...

OK it seems we missed the second part of my Topic? "On the serious side this is suppose to be a neat place to see all kinds of new things for your home and business. The Expo is a great opportunity for everyone in the construction industry to see the latest in product innovations. There are more than 800 exhibitors displaying products from Spanish Tile to Lighting Fixtures". I guess I should of left Mr. Gore out or posted twice.

Wow - the newspaper didn't mention the Expo. Is it open to the public?

Oh, no. They have some really cool stuff if you are getting a newly built house that can save you bucks in the long run. Unfortunately to upgrade an existing house on many items you'd have to live a substantial time to get a return if any at all. They pulled that on me last year when the inside portion of my A/C unit went out. The people tried to sell me a whole new unit for outside telling me how much my utility bill will go down. That was great with the exception that my outside unit was fine and if I did change it out with the new one it would have to last me 16 years to start to see a return on the investment. BTW, the unit that I had was just at 10 years old itself and they say the expected life isn't much longer than that anyways so there would be no return on the investment by their own life expectations.
