scallop

I have recently set up my seahorse tank and am getting it ready for future occupants. My scallop is opened up all the way and looks really neat. It also has little flashes along it that looks like lightning. Although it looks really cool...I was just wondering if it was normal or if something is wrong and I'm harming it in some way?

You might have an electric scallop. Red w/light blue flashes?
