If your tank is really leaking, and it's not under a warranty, I would probably advise you to bite the bullet and get a new tank. The reason is that you probably have more invested in livestock than the tank itself, and getting it fixed means that your livestock will be in tubs and buckets for several days at least, and you're probably going to lose some of it. Once you've transferred eveything to the new tank, you can get the old one fixed leisurely and sell it to recoup some of the cost of the new one.

Think of it as an opportunity to upgrade!

Boy....memories....this happened to my 100 gal Oceanic a year & 3 months ago....it kept getting worse...decision was to either reseal the 100 or take the opportunity to upgrade. Ended up upgrading to a 180 Brick....best thing I've done so far in this hobby. Resealed the 100 and sold its' setup to recoup some of the cost of the new one. It was a pain in the butt for about a month as Oceanic was behind in manufacturing both the 100 gal & 180 brick. Fin Addict played a major part in working with Oceanic due to my emergency and I had a custom built 180 Brick between 1-2 weeks.

I feel for you - but it is next to impossible to pinpoint the problem cause the water sits along the trim. We tried to reseal from the inside with water in it to no avail. My advice is to get it broken down as soon as you can with a plan in mind...cause it takes at least a week to get it resealed. I was lucky to be loaned a temporary tank with a motor to keep my fish & corals going till the transfer/plumbing of the new tank. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
Miss my 180 gal Brick Reef
