    Default Plumbing

My Plumbing is SOOOO loud. the water will fill over the bulkhead, then with a loud suck, it will all push down the pipes... it sounds like someone flushing the toilet every 6 seconds.
my plumbing right now comes out off the bulkhead, then 90's down to the sump.

would it help if i kept it a 90, but used one of those pipes that went up and down, so that the upward part would be open, then the downward part went to the sump, to let air in, because right now, no air gets in my pipes... PS this is a freshwater, so bubbles are no problem

heres a rough drawing, the top is what i have now.

(ps- sorry, my space bar sticks, so i tried to fix all the typos...)

I would change it out to the second drawing. Just buy a 'tee' fitting and some more pcv pipe. Run the pipe on the top of the 'tee' higher than the water will ever be filled. You can either leave it open or buy a cap and drill a hole in the cap. This will allow constant water flow, without air being trapped in your drain.

ok cool, well i found all the plumbing i need in my garage, except the 1.5"-1" converter. and sincemyplumbing is on this rubber thingy, attached to the bulkhead, a few twists of the screw can detach it... thank god for bulkhead threads being different than pvc threads... :P

If it's still noisy, put a cap on the top, drill a hole or 2 in it, and put a couple if thin pieces of tubing down them, so they go past the "T". This will help trapped air escape more easily.
