If you want a pocket camera - not one that takes especially great tank photos - I'd go for a Canon SD. I take about 15,000 photos a year, and the Canons are great. Rechargable batteries that take about 2-300 photos between charges. An LCD you can see in SUNLIGHT, a durable metal housing, and great & cheap parts, when/if you need them. I'm VERY hard on cameras, and I'd be hard pressed to buy something else. Most appraisers carry either a Canon or a Kodak. Kodaks 'cause they have a wide angle lense. The 800 has a much wider than typical lens. I currently use an SD800, with image stabilization. Less than $300. Try: www.slickdeals.net (NOT COM).
