    Default Aqua Controller Jr.

Got mine in and am having trouble.

It is turning the heater off before it gets to the shut off of 78.5

I have it set to turn on below 78 and off if over 78.5

    What am i doing wrong?

I'm using the Power House x-10 not the dc8

I don't have any first hand experience but I wonder if it is having trouble with that .5 degree. Maybe it would work better from 78 to 79.

    Just an idea...

Yeah it says .3 is cool but hoped .5 would be ok. Good thought I'll try the 1 difference and see.

OK I just plugged the heater in to a reg outlet to get the temp up and when it hit 77 in the tank the fans kicked on even though they aren't supposed to be on till temp hits 78.6.

What is going on with this thing?

Anyone have one that could share some programming tricks?

do you have a chiller as well? make sure you don't have the two swapped... the programing can be a bit confusing, if you have the instruction book go to correct page and just try inputing program again.. i know this is probably not much help.. i just got mine and it is performing just as i have programed it

Make sure you have the X-10 plugs on the same leg of your household power. Better yet, on the same outlet. These things can be touchy. Also, interference from other devices is a real bear (lighting, especially), and may need to be filtered. Rather than explaining it all, feel free to call: 210.663.8079.
