My favorite method is a blue point lighter. Those fiesty aiptasia are instantly brought to a sizzling boil when introduced to a delightfully warm blue point flame, within seconds they are a dazzlingly beautiful orange color sure to please even the reef keeper with the most refined tastes!
Another method you can use if you have another tank with deep sand in it is to bury a rock that has aiptasia on it, in about a day you will see the aiptasia comfortably sunning themselves on the top of the sand where they can be easily removed from the top of the sand (minus a few grains of sand) and sent on a delightful all expense paid trip of your trash can!
Plenums and ultra deep sand beds > all other setups!
