    Default water quality and xenia

My water tests out at 0 amonia, 0 nitrites, close to 10 nitrates, but the phosphates are off the charts. will xenia use the phosphates up?

xenia should have some effect, but a good water change should help further. Xenia (from what I have read) are mainly screwed up when the ph is off. You still have fish in the tank? I ask because I wanna know if you're feeding still...

I do have some fish left in the tank, I'm skimming heavily and feeding less since i got rid of some preditors. I'm going to do a 300g water changes as soon as the ro water fills up the drums.

I have heard never to do more than 40% because the bacteria will be at too low of levels.

300g should be right at 40%. Besides whatever bacteria that is in the water colum more than likely got killed by the ozone enriched skimmer or the two UVs.
