I'm making about a skimmer a year....it's my new high production philosophy. Soon I'll be going to a skimmer/decade. I still have a handful of becketts. I've made a few needlewheel skimmers that are good for small tanks. I have thought about using a beckett (or mazzai) injector as a venturi on a needlewheel skimmer, but I'm way too busy to build anything like that until the summer. Plus, I have a small tank so my little needlewheel (like a ER CS135) is already too big and is on a 12 hr timer, so I'm not too motivated to design new skimmers. I just helped Felipe set up his new prop system, and the first big dual beckett I made is on that system; it works great. Tough to beat a good beckett skimmer for large tanks, IMO.
