I have a 150 thats stocked with Lots of LR, Corals and 3 fish - a copperband, Sohal Tang, and Lawnmower Blenny and a great big sea hare.
About 1 wk ago the copperband died, I think it was a combination of it not eating anyhing but those little tubeworm feather duster things and the Sohal beating the living daylights out of it... chased the poor thing all the time... (i tried catching it but i couldnt)..
Soo now, yesterday i noticed the Sohal wouldnt swim around as much and stayed right up at the top of the tank swimming "up current" facing one of the returns... he didnt look to good but was still eating.. this morning i found him against some rocks and he was completly UPSIDE DOWN but still alive... the tank is to tall and to much rockwork to reach him....
So now i get home from work and i cant find him?!?!? i did a major water change.... moved lots of the rocks and corals, looked with mirrors behind everything and he is NOWHERE to be found.. i even checked the overflow the sump everything but nothing.. is this something i should be concerned about? I tested the water before the waterchange and these were the readings:
Ph: 8.4 - 8.6
Nitrate: 0
Nitrite: 0 - 0.05
Ammonia: 0
Salinity: 1.025
Temp: 81.6
soooo what could have happened? any ideas?
should i be concerend about it being dead somehwere in an area i cannot see? ohh and the Lawnmower blenny and the sea hare look fine.. still eating and none of the corals look funny either...
im confused what should i do?
any advice would be much appreciated...
Thelma
