Mushroom Question

I just got the last of the live rock i want to put in my tank so i did some rearranging. I had to cut a mushroom off cause of where it would be on the new rock placement and i didnt do it correctly. I know you are supposed to make sure and get the mouth with the body when you cut them off and i got just about everything but the mouth lol Is this shroom a gonner? and also, if where the mouth was left is open to light, will it grow a new one?

it will probably regenerate, if you can keep it from blowing away. i would put it in a shallow "tupperware" dish with come crushed coral until it attaches to a piece or two. then, just glue it were you want it.
